Maryada Purushottama · The Ideal King
“Dharma lived perfectly — as son, husband, brother and king.”
Rama is the seventh avatar of Vishnu and the ideal king (Maryada Purushottam — the supreme person of righteousness). His life, as told in the Ramayana, is the model for dharmic living in every role: son, husband, brother, friend, and king.

The Sun hymn before the final battle
Exhausted on the battlefield before facing Ravana, Rama was approached by the sage Agastya, who taught him the Aditya Hridayam, a hymn to the Sun as the source of all strength. Rama recited it three times, felt his courage renewed, and went on to victory. Even the avatar, the story shows, draws strength from prayer.
