Devi's Insight · What few people know
Born from the light of every god
When the buffalo demon Mahisha could not be defeated, a blazing radiance poured out of every god and merged into one form: the Goddess. Each god then gave her his own weapon, Shiva his trident, Vishnu his discus, Indra his thunderbolt. She is not a helper of the gods; she is their combined power made whole.
